
Office for International Cooperation and Projects
Mission & mandate. The Office for International Cooperation and Projects (OICP) is the central unit responsible for planning, organising and delivering UAB’s internationalisation agenda in line with the ECHE Charter, the Erasmus Policy Statement and the UAB Internationalisation Strategy 2025–2030. OICP coordinates mobility, partnerships and cooperation projects, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports transparent, student-centred procedures.
Governance & structure. OICP reports to the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation. It works in close coordination with Faculty Erasmus/ECTS Coordinators, the International Career Center (ICC – to be established via the INTECO project in 2025) and the Center for Career Development (CDC). Quality assurance (QA) is embedded through routine reviews with the University QA structures.
Core responsibilities.
- Mobility administration (KA1). Calls, selection, learning agreements, support before/during/after mobility, and automatic recognition of credits within institutional deadlines (Learning Agreement → Transcript of Records → decision file).
- Inter-institutional agreements (IIAs/MoUs). Drafting, negotiation, signature and annual review; prioritising academic fit and utilisation.
- Digital mobility management. Progressive adoption of EWP/OLA/ESC and the Erasmus+ App, with a secure PDF/e-signature fallback where partners are not yet ready.
- Inclusion & green practices. Non-discrimination, equal access for participants with fewer opportunities, and promotion of sustainable travel where feasible.
- Cooperation projects (KA2/other EU). Information sessions, light advisory and administrative support for proposal development and early implementation (e.g., Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Interreg IPA).
- Information & visibility. Maintaining the UAB Erasmus hub (MNE/EN), publishing procedures, templates and course information, and disseminating opportunities and results.
- Data & QA. Mobility statistics, recognition tracking, participant feedback (incoming/outgoing) and annual improvement actions.
Services for students and staff.
- Outgoing (students/staff): Info days, briefings on academic/inter-cultural preparation and practicalities (visa, insurance, accommodation), and regular check-ins during mobility.
- Incoming (students/staff): Central point of contact, information packages (MNE/EN), buddy/peer support, and—where feasible from AY 2025/26—supportive English-language tutorial groups (non-degree, complementary) aligned to Montenegrin-taught courses; individual academic consultations in English as needed.
Language policy (clarity). All UAB degree courses are delivered in Montenegrin. English is used for public information, partner communication and supportive activities for mobility; this does not constitute English-taught degree delivery.
